Book Country – the online community for #book lovers

Submitted by on November 7, 2011 – 7:34 am2 Comments

At Fresh Impact PR Group we are always looking for PR trends and new ways of book marketing in the present landscape.  Not an easy task these days.  I was always told, ‘a problem without a solution is a complaint’.   In the last two months I have received several calls from authors either frustrated with their publisher, firing their agent or asking us to solve a problem.  I LOVE IT!  Keep it coming!

Somehow I missed this happening going on with Penguin Putnam but did want to pass it along.  We plan on starting to use Book Country going forward in all of our PR campaigns where it fits.  Book Country is an online community for fiction writers to essentially make a name for themselves.  No charge, just a ton of online book lovers chatting up books.

If you happen to have an experience from using this service please let us know, we want to hear from you.

    Hi -

Thanks for the kind words. To clarify, Book Country is an online writers workshop for genre fiction writers. It’s a place for aspiring writers to upload portions of their unfinished manuscripts in order to workshop them and get critiques from fellow writers. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have.

    Colleen,
Thanks for clarifying that for us. I did not catch anywhere that this was an online workshop for writers. Perhaps you can give us some insights as to what has been the result to date of folks using the site? Have writers been pleased? etc.

    Appreciate it.
