The Importance of a Book Trailer

Many times authors ask Fresh Impact PR Group what is the best way to sell books these days.  It really depends on the author, the book and the market they are going after.  The answer, with all the tools available is not as easy to answer as it was even four years ago.

With that being said, I wanted to offer some practical advice on one thing I know helps and that is a good book trailer.  I have to thank our colleague Erik Ticen who did this particular on-site shoot.  He captured the essence of the author’s heart, told the story and moved the viewer.  Now that the book trailer is done, our book marketing expertise will go to work using this video to pitch producers to have the author be a guest on shows, do interviews and help sell books.

A well done book trailer can be more valuable these days than a press kit or even shipping out books.  Producers don’t have time but they will make time to watch a well done book trailer.
