Using the Holiday #PR angles to Your Advantage

In today’s media landscape reporters and writers with high profile outlets are getting inundated with pitches on authors and books that you have to be extremely creative not to mention flexible with your personal pitches to them.  Approaching the holiday season there are typically evergreen stories writers need a myriad of experts on.  As an author needing book marketing you should be taking advantage of this.

Case in point this week with our client Ricky Cohen, bestselling author of Risk to Succeed, a business parable with insights on success in the global economy.   A writer with the Wall Street Journal had a need outside of our pitch focused towards the book however the nature of the writer’s need was right in our clients wheelhouse.  The opportunity was too good to pass up and the chance to be in the Wall Street Journal is well worth the effort.

By using this holiday pitch and landing a placement with Marketwatch.com we can now use this as credibility with other media outlets for the holiday.  It should help us open other doors of opportunity for our client.

What holiday pitch can we help you with?  Do you already have your New Years story written?
