First Time Author Dr. Mark Sherwood lands 1800 Book’s Bought into Barnes and Noble
Many times we end up working with author’s at every level, whether it be a first time author or a seasoned one, we know what it takes to move books and get recognized in media circles. When Dr. Mark called us to help with promotion of Quest for Wellness we knew it was going to be hard work. Through the entire process, he has remainded coachable, humble and deligent. We have all done our part, collaborating on what worked, what didn’t and what we can improve upon. For 4 months we worked hard doing an Amazon Campaign, acquiring media and getting a lot of doors closing.
I love working on a team and working to create ‘wins’ for our clients. Anytime we got someone who gave us a no….we sent them a book when it came out. We continued to try new angles and new pitches. We re-wrote our emails and continued to do what we knew to do.
Little by little we made progress. 5 months later, we have seen massive growth. Barnes and Noble loved the marketing tip sheet our partner, Emerge Publishing put together and order 1800 books! This is unheard of for a first time author.
We have used this to our advantage helping now arrange signings and re-pitching Quest for Wellness as a holiday health story…in addition to them landing a contributor spot with First for Women! To date, the author has done over 6 TV appearances and many radio interviews.
Lastly, Dr. Mark’s local business has exploded landing him a local radio program as well as mulitple appearances on his local Good Day Fox program in his hometown. And 3 speaking engagements have surfaced since starting…another reason to go back out to folks in those local markets Dr. Mark is traveling to.
