The Value of Growing an #Author Brand

Growing an author brand takes dedication, time and effort. Repetition over this same period of time is mission critical. We’ve learned over our 28 year history of helping authors that the value of building an author brand doesn’t only happen through social media. Social media does bring value but nothing can replace meeting someone in person who buys your book in a bookstore.

Any first time author should experience this for several reasons:

  1. It helps you tell the story of your journey in writing the book

  2. It forces you as an author to know how to tell your story

  3. It exposes you to the book buyers personally, firsthand!

  4. It exposes you to the process of how books get selected, bought and placed in stores. Sometimes learning this first hand is far more important than just talking about it.
